We love travels and explorers.
Particularly sensitive to the spirit of discovery that drives literature, the Monaco Book Fair has decided to create a new literary prize, the Pytheas Prize, named after the mythical Greek sailor whose ship sailed to the ends of the known world. It will reward a book or story of adventure or travel written or translated into French, published between June 2024 and June 2025 inclusive. The winner will be officially announced on September 7, 2025, at the Monaco International Book Fair at the Grimaldi Forum. The jury, chaired by Philippe Charlier, is composed of:
 
Nikos Aliagas (journalist, photographer, and writer)
His Excellency Mr. Antonis Alexandridis, (Ambassador of Greece in France)
 Olivier Archambault (geographer, president of the Society of French Explorers)
Orianne Aymard (mountaineer and writer)
Philippe Charlier (forensic pathologist, archaeologist, anthropologist, president of the jury)
Prince Charles-Henri de Lobkowicz-Bourbon
Sylvana Lorenz (gallery owner and writer)
Elena Rossoni-Notter (archaeologist, director of the Princely Museum of Anthropology of Monaco)
Baroness Alexandra Rossi von Thüngen (industrial property attorney and writer)
Laurent-Noel Rivoire (International Relations Officer at the Monaco Book Fair-Presidence advisor)
